Your puppy is like a sponge right now. It is of the perfect critical age for learning the basics.
If
your puppy gets over 20 weeks of age it becomes Corrective Therapy Training.
Your puppy will learn to Sit, Stay, Lie Down and Come. If you're lucky we
can throw in some tips on toilet training too.
I would also recommend Puppy Social Classes. That's another reason why it is important for your
puppy to be trained at this age.
In these classes we reiterate the basics whislt adding walking to help building your dog's
confidence and help with nuisance barking.
You as an owner need to feel comfortable with your
dog.You can't do that whilst you're
embarrased of their barking or having panic attacks, because your dog is not doing what you want.
While you're here you
will learn that you are not alone. It's a great way to meet people and help each other with a smile and
confidence.
If your dog is unable to be around other animals or people I am happy to come to a safe place and
work on a one
to one basis till we feel confident the dog and owner can handle being in a group.
If your dog is shy or showing signs of being timid it's fine, but I wouldn't recommend group sessions -
for you one
to one lessons are key for their progress.
Here we will have a fun filled lesson in agility. This will help build your dog's mental skills and their
health.
Even for dogs with dysplasia and other disabilities I do not rule them out - I simply simplify the
course
so they step over them. They're still activley using their brain, but not overstimulating the body.
I can prepare you for competitions but that would be a one to one lesson.
Here is where we can see the development of your dog's behaviour commitment strength and where they need
improving.
It's also another great way for your dogs to develop social skills.
